How to use this

This is supplementary practice, not a course. The goal is to meet lots of words in a real context and get comfortable with them. Engage with each chapter in more than one way: read, listen, re-read, listen again.

You must listen to the conversation once before you can read it. Use that first listen to hunt for words you recognise by ear — your brain loves that little win, and it's how listening skill grows.

• Read the main text. Tap any sentence for a translation and notes.
• Listen to the conversation (required once), then reveal it.
• Mix it up: hide the text and just listen, or read along.
